When Katherine A. Forrest handled her first divorce case, she knew she had found her calling in family law. She dedicates her entire practice to helping residents of Craven, Carteret and Pamlico Counties find solutions to their family law matters. Family law issues arise in a variety of ways including but not limited to child custody disputes, child support claims, divorce, equitable distribution, adoption and paternity. The parties may have already come to an agreement on certain issues or the issues may require litigation. Often times the issues can be time sensitive requiring a quick response. No matter the issue, Katherine Forrest and her staff understand that family law matters can be some of the most difficult legal issues to navigate and are here to help you find a resolution. Although her practice is now dedicated to family law, she often finds that her previous experience in related issues such as real estate, estate planning, and administration, and bankruptcy are an advantage in her family law cases.
Katherine is licensed to practice before all North Carolina State Courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. In 2012, she was honored with inclusion in Super Lawyers® Rising Stars℠ and previously served as President of the Craven County Bar Association.
Katherine Forrest is known for being compassionate and dedicated and Stubbs Perdue is proud to have Katherine Forrest as part of our team of New Bern lawyers.
